Part Supervixens Remake

Has anyone else noticed that part of the plot is a remake of Russ Meyer's Supervixens with some of Up! thrown in?

reply

More like an Up! remake with a lot of Supervixens thrown in. The bathtub murder, the desert locale, the dynamite finale, even David Keith's heavy denim wardrobe are (coincidentally?) very similar to Supervixens but despite the superficial similarities, White of the Eye is most definitely it's own twisted beast. It is a weird intersection between two of the century's most brilliant left of center auteurs.

coincidentally?

There are simply too many similarities for them to be coincidental.

I just think it's funny that it was totally overlooked in the otherwise pretty in depth Donald Cammell biography "A Life on the Wild Side" -- pretty major element if you're going to analyze the movie.
