Was it just me or was David Keith's big bulge the real star of this film? Throughout the film he wears these tight, faded blue jeans and there are countless shots of his bulging crotch in them. In the scene where Alberta Watson seduces him, she's standing behind him and there's a close-up of her hand moving down his chest and stomach and onto his bulge. In another shot he walks towards the camera in boxer shorts and we briefly get an extreme close-up of his dick flopping around. In another scene again, Cathy Moriarty even makes reference to his character's "big dick sticking up in the air". It surely can't be a coincidence? Thoughts? Opinions? Pictures?

It literally stuck out, yes. After the third of these shots, I started to loosely count and I think there were about eight such shots in the film, always presented very dominantly. I guess it's meant to emphasize the phallic energy and archaic sexuality of the film's emotional landscape. It's hard to describe it. But it's there for good reason, that's for sure.

And I didn't mind in the least since David Keith was extremely hot.

Lol, this movie is a bulge classic. Best scenes are 1) flashback when he walks into the garage with fabulous mullet hair, 2) when he's walking out of the police station after the interrogation, 3) when Cathy Moriarty questions him about what she finds in the bathtub. And don't get me started on his big ol' butt… David Keith sure knew how to fill out a pair of jeans, front AND back!
