So why did Buddy 'cheat'?

He could do those math problems. What was the deal with his copying off of Jerry?

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

It was revealed a little later after that that Buddy knew how to work the problems when him and Jerry in the principal's office. I believe that them being sent to the office was Buddy's plan all along just to make it look like it was Jerry's fault.It worked,that's why the principle was telling Jerry what he told him after Buddy left the office.

Buddy wanted to see if Jerry would stand up for himself. Here he is (Buddy) threatening to beat up Jerry after school and THEN wants to copy off him in class? Jerry allowing Buddy to copy his worked showed Buddy (yet again) that Jerry had no backbone (at least, at that part of the story).

Yes but that was easily and obviously misinterpreted by Jerry. He saw it as an opportunity to get Buddy off his back. Like, if I let him copy, maybe he won't want to still fight me.

I was being patient but it took too long.
