This movie SCARED ME when I was a kid!

I grew up in the '80s, and I had barely even heard of schizophrenia.
This movie, showing how it can descend on someone at any moment, scared me out of my socks!
It still scares me, as I often think of this film. Nancy McKeon was so good in this film, as was Valerie Harper as her mom.

Anyone else remember this film?

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

reply

YES, I do. AND I agree. Both actresses were very good in this movie.

I was in my early 30s and it scared me too! Very well done.

"Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish prison?"

This scared me too as a kid. I was about 12.

I also saw it as a kid and it didn't scare me but was very uncomfortable to watch.

This frightened me too as a kid. Back then mental illness awareness wasn’t a thing. It was something people didn’t talk about
