Why is Straight To hell considered a mess/disaster?

It's something I've always heard. But I don't really get it. Is it because Sid & Nancy & Repo Man were so highly rated that people just couldn't get their heads around a Punk Rock fuelled Western film?

If anyone could chime in, that would be cool.

Have you seen STH?

It is so badly scripted and acted and low budgeted which makes it a mess. The multitude of homages to previous classic westerns is not enough to justify making a film this poor.

Some people might like watching trash films, Pink Flamingos (1972) for example but they are still trash films.

Took me several tries to get through but with the right mindset it can be very funny and enjoyable.
The trick for me was to forget the story and just watch to see what happens to the characters.
It's alot like a vacation, it's not scripted but you get to experience new things and that's where the fun is.
