No, as llhughes said, it's not the same person. Queen made horrible music, but *this* Brian May is brilliant. I just can't get over the ending title in Steel Dawn. It's just perfect. A little bit of Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian, Hunt for Red October) in it, just alot happier :P

There has been a lot of confusion between Queen's guitarist and film-score composer, mainly stupid people, since you would have heard something about if they were the same people, no?

Queen made horrible music?? That's blasphemie! They were one of the greatest rock bands of all time. The great classically trained minds of Mercury and May were an event in music history!

Get some taste people!

I agree. Queen is one of the best bands ever formed. I didn't know there were so many people without good taste in music. Whoever said such a thing should be ashamed of themselves!

Just wish people would stop confusing Brian May with Brian May.

It's not the same Brian May.
The Brian May who did the music from this movie is from Australia, and died in 1997: http://imdb.com/name/nm0006189/
The Brian May who is the guitarist from Queen is from England and is still very much alive: http://imdb.com/name/nm0006190/

Queen rocked, this filmed sucked.

And yes even though the Brian May from Queen did compose some film scores (Highlander etc), he did not work on this piece of rubbish.

Brian may (Queen) is a genius, he learned to play on a guitar he and his dad built when he was a kid.

I liked this movie. It was enjoyable, similar to an old western, with a science fiction setting. Simple but satisfying.

But I agree with you about Queen and Brian May. One of the greatest bands ever. Amazing music.
