Why are all the Red Haired, fish man's lines dubbed??

It's pretty obvious that all of this actors lines are dubbed in at a later date. what's the reason behind this?? maybe should be in the trivia

nobody?

Maybe he was a stunt man who didn't have the right voice for acting?

reply

It was like he stepped out of a Kung-Fu movie. Thankfully he doesn't have many lines, because it was really distracting.

very suspicious.

today's special: shrimp ceviche!

reply

Because the actor who played that part J.J. Makaro, is really a stuntman by trade and they didn't like his accent.

nice to get an answer some 3 years later! one for the trivia perhaps. thanks JJ mak

it's one of my favourite films of the 80s. i think this should be in the trivia. no idea what was so wrong with JJ's accent they had to dub it out. bit offensive?

Did his accent change over the years...I don't see anything wrong with his voice.

it's clearly not his voice. especially after seeing that youtube vid.

I just watched the movie the other day. I have never noticed that.
