inappropriate enough cover OR WHAT

this idea may have been cute in '87, but I strongly recommend that, if they reissue this on DVD, they change the cover. I mean, come on. It's downright JARRING to see this in a video store, or at least it was to me.

Don't get me wrong, seeing a gloriously mulleted Keaton is always a pleasure... but not when he's squeezed between the CRUMBLING trade centers. Ugh... maybe Bin Laden got his idea from this poster.

The Squeeze wasn't that great of a film, and I'm glad they didn't change the cover. I'm tired of political correctness. If they do release it on DVD (which I doubt), then I hope they keep Michael Keaton and the crumbling Twin Towers on it. Hey, it's not like anybody in 1987 knew what was going to happen in 2001.

The plan was already in the works way back then, my friend.

See this movie for reasons to doubt your previous beliefs:

I can't see there being a high demand for a DVD release of The Squeeze.

The movie is straight-up terrible.

All copies of this movie should be destroyed! How utterly insensitive! God, I remember watching September 11th unfold on tv like it was yesterday. I'll never forget how horrifying it was to see a Michael Keaton slamming into the Twin Towers, yelling, "I'm Batman!" at the top of his lungs. Seriously, this movie was made in 1987. Should every movie that has the Twin Towers in it digitally remove them so you overly-sensitive people can watch them without being traumatized? It was a terrible tragedy, but many of you are going way overboard to slam a movie poster that was made 14 years before the event even happened.

Check out the June 1987 issue of Rolling stone with Robert Cray on the cover. on one page is the same ad for this movie. on the next opposite page is an that says "CALL 911".

reply

Nope. Nothing wrong with the cover. Just because the trade buildings were destroyed by terrorists does not mean we should wipe the image away from the past. We should embrace all World Trade Center buildings images, not try an erase them from history. This whole thread is far more offensive than the films humorous cover.

reply

They just need to edit out the cracks on the buildings. No need to remove the entirety of the twin towers, the poster would make no sense then.

reply

I think it is important to see and replace all these old movies.
911 ... so what, it happened, and it is still happening, and these
government and military schmucks will want us to develop a
fetish around it. Wake up, we have real problems.
