Ending
Hi, umm i was just wondering if anyone really knows what happened with Gemma and Rory in the ending? im still confused.

I'd have to go back and watch it again to make sure, but I think her mother says that Rory was taken to hospital (because of his injuries) and will later be institutionalised as he is now seen as a threat to both himself and others.
A sad ending for a wonderfully vulnerable and innocent character.
aww that is sad. i liked the movie as a whole but not the ending. i think gemma and rory should have ended up together. What exactly was like his handicap? like was it just like soemthing wrong with his brain or what?

Rory was retarded, and was somehow deemed to be a threat to others, although he was not a threat to Gemma at all (I loved that scene where he chased her after she got him to stop keeping that thing in his mouth-I wished that he'd tickled her feet afterwards!) share
