I'm really surprised...

at how much people LOVE this film! I'm one of the (very few) people who saw it in a movie theatre back in 1987. I was big Rob Lowe fan and wanted to see if he could tackle a tough role. He pulled it off. Winona Ryder (who I love now) annoyed me to no end but it was because her character was so self-righteous. I thought it was an OK little movie but nothing special. It was kind of slow in spots and didn't really have an ending. So--I think it was OK but not great.
