I have always assumed it was around the Beverly Hills or the West LA area? correct?

The house used for Hardy's party is located at 516 Hudson Ave. in the Hancock Park section of L.A. 90005. You're welcome.

The zip code is 90020 according to Google Maps. You can also see a panoramic street view. It looks like the same house but I would check the movie to be sure.
