I was hoping that Amanda would have beaten her ass also right after she slapped Hardy!

Agreed! Molly Hagen was great in that role.

I loved her reaction when Keith's sister (Laura) pops her head in the car..."Oh my God!"

And when she was unable to talk Amanda into cancelling the date..."Well, it looks like you got yourself a new boyfriend!" with that priceless look of complete disgust.

She should have been in the movie more... I picture a scene where Laura tracks her down in the hallway of school (acting like they're best buds now), and Shayne unloads insult after insult on her, only Laura is far too young and clueless to comprehend that she was even being attacked.

I don't think she looks disgusted. Just frustrated that she couldn't control Amanda maybe. She is a pet for these rich people. Hardy just uses women for cheap sex. He probably didn't spend as much in a month on women as Keith did on that restaurant. He used her for cheap sex and made her part of the in crowd in return.

Why's she driving a Suzuki sidekick or similar if she's so rich? I suspect she was upper middle class at best like Hardy. Just because you have $4,000 diamond ear rings or a Corvette or a nice house doesn't make you rich. She was a snob, but not a complete caricature. I think Hughes / Deutch tried to give her a little warmth and feeling, but overall she was a cold b!tch, definitely.

Suzuki Samurai...they were so popular when they came out cause they were cheap. Then everyone started to roll them because of the short wheelbase....and then you couldn't give them away. I assumed Shayne bounced her's a few times down the highway after graduation and died in a fiery ball of flames.
