Movie Tales: Best to Worst

I am a fan of this series primarily because I remember them from my childhood. I have only seen 5 out of the 9. Of these I have a couple of favourites but some are just embarrassing. My best to worst goes like this:

1. Hansel and Gretel - no derivative songs, great music, great sets, great actors, and a couple of tense moments

2. Rumpelstiltskin - I like the actors, the music and sets are pretty good too

3. Sleeping Beauty - the elf is annoying, there are so many unecessary songs, and the Red Fairy is disappointing

4. Snow White - the dwarves are shabby, Snow White is way too weak and stupid, all the songs are bad and are sung horribly, the actors are terrible, Diana Rigg is good as the queen but when she is in disguise she is embarrassing to watch

5. Red Riding Hood - the worst in my opinion, these songs are also bad and sung even worse (especially those sung by Red Riding Hood), the story has been altered way too much. I cannot watch this all the way through, the whole movie makes me uncomfortable.

This is my list, I would like to know what everyone else's best to worst looks like. Give reasons if you can, it generates discussion.

I agree with you in Hansel & Gretel beign the best cannon movie, but Snow White is not the worst movie, Rumpelstiltskin is an awful movie(the only good thing in this movie is the female lead, the special efects while spinning the straw and some of the songs), For me the worst movie of the movie tale series is The Emperors's new clothes, that movie was just a waste of money. The other ones are also good but avoid The emperor's new clothes.

i only saw 5 of them (and i can't wait 'til august 9 to see the others)

1 - Snow White : The songs are really good and well sang, the wicked queen is awesome, and Sarah Patterson is the most beautiful Snow White ever. The acting is great and the sets are gorgeous.

2 - Hansel & Gretel : I saw it recently, so it coul've been my # 1 if I would've seen it when I was younger (Snow White was my favorite movie as a child, and It still is one them). Anyways, Cloris Leachman is GREAT ! The children are really good too, and the music's really atmospheric.

3 - Sleeping Beauty : Tahnee Welch (is that her name?) is beautiful. The songs are at some points cheesy, but it's a tale, don't forget that. Fairy Red used to scare me as a kid, and the elf never disturbed me. But it's been a while since the last time I saw it, so I'm waiting for a DVD release.

4 - Red Riding Hood : Amelia Shankley is really cute, and so is Rosselini, but I didn't like the fact that the wolf was turning into a man. But the songs were great. The sets are good, but i noticed that there were some recycled from Snow White.

5 - Rumpelstiltskin : That elf, SH!T he was really scary! I always felt sad for the miller's daughter but I never really liked that movie. I'll see it back on august 9 to judge well.

My faves are in no order

Puss In Boots - I have it on video, such a camp performance from Christopher Walken as Puss + such a wooden performance from Sean Connerys son + the cheesiest song I've ever heard in 'It only happens in fairytales' (think thats the title lol)

Hansel & Gretel - Cloris Leachman steals the show as Grizelda the Witch, I remember have nightmares about this as a child and I still get queezy when I watch the video today. The scene where the Bakers assistant eats the gingerbread man is also very funny and camp.

Snow White - I dont have this one on video so I am DYING for the DVD release, but I remember loving Diana Riggs 'Wicked Queen'.
