Death Omen?
Maybe this is splitting hairs, but did anyone else find it strange when the King proclaims,"Anyone using a spindle shall be put to death"? And Rosebud uses a spindle and "dies"? d

and second the bad fairy said she would prick her finger on a spindle and drop dead at the age of 16.
It had nothing to do with the King ordering all spindles to be burned or not allowing anyone to use one. That is the reason why he said that in the first place.
I am aware of that fact. Hence the quotation marks.
I am also aware of what she said. I'm not saying that his words had anything to do with the prophecy. I merely suggested that it was foreshadowing.
