One really good point the movie makes

I first saw this movie when I was 10 or 11 and it had never occurred to me until then that if you outlaw spinning wheels (and sewing needles), you will have a clothes shortage. QED.

I don't know of any other adaptation of "Sleeping Beauty" that actually addresses this. I mean, I get that it doesn't contribute to the overall plot, but still.
