Sure, it is slow and cheap, but it is also called 'Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity' - what did you want, a friggin Fellini flick? Subtle nuances of dialogue? Acting?
I'd guess that you would want 'big girls' as the tagline suggests...
I think this film is good, silly and cheerfully low-brow sci-fi schlock fun. I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit I own a copy of this entertaining trash on DVD.

I have to admit I quite enjoyed this movie. I got what I asked for and quite frankly a lot more than I expected. I'd highly recommend the movie and by B-movie standard give it 8 out of 10.
shareThis movie was made on the ridiculously low budget of 200k. Given that, it's an astoundingly good flick. It's never amazing or anything, but it does provide an adequate script (though based on a classic plot device) and adequate acting (at least decent TV-movie grade) and some very nice T&A from Kaitan, Beal, and Stevens, all of whom were at their best when this film was made.
No, it's not an Oscar-worthy pic, but if the Academy had a "Best bang for the lowest buck" category, this would have won that title hands down in 1987.
On the "expect less" B-movie scale, this is a 10 of 10. They just don't get a lot better than this one. It's 200k that looks like 2 million. And it's better than a lot of 2 million films.
I loved this movie. Awful dialogue. Bad acting. Plot holes. Hilarious FX (it made Doctor Who look good by comparison) Hot babes. Absolutely enjoyable and fun. And one astounding part of this movie is the musical score. This was not a ripped off musical score a-la Krull (ripping off Star Trek) but an actual well produced, written, and orchetrated work.
Anyone expecting a serious movie read the first post. With a name like Slave Girls it's so bad it's gotta be good. And it's so bad, you'll laughed the whole way through.
I agree that for little money it's a fine film...for what it is. I was also very impressed with the film score...easily the equal of many A-list movies.
I've always expected low budget cheesiness from Empire Pictures titles. The effects and costumes are neat, and the woman are hot.
