This is the worst film I have ever seen

Skeleton Coast gets my vote for the worst movie ever made. It's the only movie I ever stopped watching because it was so poorly made. If you can get over the rancid acting, unbelievable casting, putrid directing, and anachronisms which abound in every shot -- it isn't even good as camp -- then you've got to get through the ridiculous storyline.

It is certainly the worst movie I've ever seen. And I've watched a lot of crap. I challenge anyone on this board to watch your "worst movie ever made" and "Skeleton Coast" in the same evening. Assuming you don't fall asleep or blow your brains out, and assuming you have anything resembling objectivity, I firmly believe you will agree that this is the worst movie ever made. Just my two cents.

(It's so bad, there wasn't even a Skeleton Coast discussion board until I started this one.)

You, my good sir. Are a idiot.

Skeleton Coast is a brilliant movie, and the special effects and explosions are awesome in every aspect. Totally beats EVERY movie released since 2003 in scale and awesomeness.

Ernest Borgnine, Arnold Voosloo and all the other actors have unforgettable perfromances. I didn't even like Voosloo until I saw this movie.

It has an epic storyline, brilliant direction, awesome fight and action scenes and some of the greatest actors out there.

If you can't see that, then you don't have the right to watch such brilliant films as Skeleton Coast.

Why don't you go rent real horrible movies like : Van Helsing, You Got Served, Night Watch, Silent Hill, Stay Alive or Underworld? What do those things have in common? All of them are ten times worse then Skeleton Coast, un-orignal and newly released. Something prehaps up your alley?

I completely disagree. I was going to add a goof to this film, but after it had finished, I realised that it was all one big goof.
This film is poorly acted, has a bad plot, and has terrible special effects.
The scene where Robert Vaughn wants to rape the woman is completely unnecessary
and quite disgusting.
This film is no good and should never have been made.

Apart from the "You...(a)re an idiot" comment, I assume everything you said was a feeble attempt at humor. If it isn't, God help you. Literally.

You are correct that the performances are unforgettable, but probably not for the reasons you think.

Is it legal where you live to have this kind of opinion and still get a driver's license or own a gun? Let me know so I never go there.

reply

I do hope you never come where I live, because I would shoot you and drive over your corpse for suggesting a movie with Ernest Borgnine is bad.

Seriously, I would murder you.

This is a good movie -- no masterpiece, but a good action movie with a great cast -- Ernest Borgnine, excellent in this movie.

they found a review of this that is plastered all over the cover that describes it as "a well made action in the same fashion as the dirty dozen", right, one of the most well known war movies which got 3 sequels and a tv-series, i guess that's why i never heard of this until i found it on an old vhs tape in 2016 even though it has big names in it, i can't believe i saw them appear in this, the last battle scene looks like an amateur video shot in someones basement. what a miscast for this kind of movie, like a teen flick with veteran actors in it, one of the young actors i recognised after a while as the male lead in the elvira movie made around the same time as this, alot of misplaced background music too, like the circus tune as they walk down the desert to the plane, but i think what stands out most is that it has a very weak dialogue. funny camera shots of the blondes boobies. did he have time to leave before the villain said "idiot".

down the mine of treasures and gold,
got more than could be asked for,
overwhelmed until couldn't find a way out,
lost as these surroundings mean nothing to me now,
buried in rubies and emeralds,
trapped with nothing but these many things of my own,
somebody? anybody? please hear my desperate shout!,
im trapped by myself in a wealthy mine.

You think THIS is bad? Then take a look at a copper-bottomed stinker called Parting Shots. It also has Ollie Reed in a tiny part. The poor lad must have needed beer tokens and pronto!
