It would be amazing. I saw it in the movie theater twice, I want to see the detail, the film grain.... the colors.

For a U.S. Blu-Ray release, you need to write to Universal Studios, since they have the rights to the film.

I'll be surprised if this isn't released next year on DVD and Blu-ray, since the studio will likely try to cash in on Prince's posthumous popularity as well as it being the 30th anniversary of both the album and the film.

Played just fine on my Sony region 1 player. No extras, but a great transfer and sound.
