What movie am I thinking of? Please read and help me!

I remember in the beginning the parents are at a party after they've left the girl in bed. She goes down like in the morning or something and they're all dead, and the parents eyes are open. I think there was something on the dead peoples faces, maybe flies or something. The girl had dark hair, and the mother had dark hair and a white dress. I haven't seen it in ten years, but I was sure it was the Secret Garden. It's only now that I've tried looking it up that I realize there have been many movies of it.

Do you know what I'm talking about? Which film I am describing? I'd love to find it. It scarred me for life, in a way. I just can't remember it specifically.

I know exactly which one you are talking about. It's the 1987 Hallmark Hall of Fame version.

You are thinking of the Hallmark's version of the Secret Garden. It was copyrighted in 1987. I hope that helps. And yes it was the morning after a dinner party that mary finds her parents on the verge of death due to the plague that is somehow associated with the wine. HOpe that helps
