S+R on Video/DVD?

I love this film since I saw it first almost 20 years ago and I am desperately searching for a DVD because I haven't seen it for too long.

I agree. It's fantastic movie and it deserves some special edition of DVD...

I agree too. Great film. I still remember almost all of it. (i'd assumed there was a dvd by now so some day soon i'd buy it (first pref) - or rent it if not for sale (and report lost and pay the fine!) :(

I regret I can't share your enthusiasm for this film. Are you in the States? If so, you're welcome to have my VHS version of this rather than ripping off the video store. Enough of them are going out of business as it is.

As far as my quest did go, there is still no DVD release of the film. Used to have a VHS copy (TV-recording), but this is gone. Saw the film a couple of times and would love to watch it again. I reckon the probability of it being broadcast on some TV channel be higher than a of a DVD release.

The film did come out on Laserdisc, which is a helluva lot better than VHS and perhaps as good as DVD. Unfortunately, I'm not in a situation or location right now that would allow me to make my DVD transfer available on the Internet, but keep on searching for it and it may turn up.
