Brawn Videodrome

This pseudo-sci-fi thriller finds Arnold as a fugitive trapped in a man gauntlet that pits him and his friends against lethal adversaries who wield terrifying weapons. If he can not escape the gauntlet, he will become another modern era daredevil statistic.

This movie is rather entertaining in its presentation of humanist themes about modern weapons gluttony and the inevitable human savagery that rises with tides of power hysteria.

This is a culturally straightforward capitalism-sarcasm film when likened with Antonia Bird's equally entertaining behavior-hysteria film "Ravenous" (1999).

I give it at least 2.5 out of 5 stars.

My biggest complaint is that they didn't expand more on the ideas of this future they put us in. They mention things like contraband clothes and music, the entertainment industry having close ties to the president, and some very clear class warfare going on with the food riots. They only got into these subjects briefly and the main focus was the game, of course. Still a great movie, one of Arnie's best.
