The inspiration for Smash TV

Ever played the arcade game Smash TV? I found out that the Running Man film inspired the creation of
the Smash TV video game, because they both deal with competing on a violent game show. I played the game first, then I saw the movie via Netflix.

I remember seeing it at a bowling alley. Pretty challenging game. Mainly because of the controls and one hit and you're dead.

I always thought that was a cool looking game, but it would take my quarter in about 35-40 seconds at my best..
