Where was this filmed?
I know it was in Canada. But does anyone know where exactly? I've always thought it was a beautiful town.

oops, never mind, It's Nelson BC. That;s actualy not far from here. Think I'll take a drive up and visit the firehall, maybe try to find Snowball's tree and of course the great view.. "Yep it's ugly!"

shareOne of the nicest elements of the film is this charming scenic town where people are mostly (heaven forbid) nice to each other (minus the "hey big nose" guy) and pull together as a community. Seemingly far away from the world's big problems which might seem unrealistic but at least may exist. Cynics need not apply =)
sharei was from that area and i was in that town when it was being filmed. i was mad because we had to stop walking in the streets until they finished filming the drugstore scene. after that scene steve was escorted back to his trailer by a bodyguard and it was funny seeing steve with the nose on *lol*.The town where it was filmed is a beautiful small town with a very low crime rate, no graffiti like there is in LA. it's a nice place to raise a family but like small towns jobs are hard to come by
shareNelson is also about 45 minutes away from a beautiful little town called Trail. That's where my family is from. I was born in Santa Barbara, CA. I always looked forward to visiting everyone up there because it's very quiet, I love the hockey team the Trail Smoke Eaters, and they have a great ski mountain called Red Mountain.
