I first saw it when it aired as a CBS mini-series in 1987, and it has remained one of my favorite movies ever since. Unlike one of the other posters on this board, I liked the movie much more than the book. The changes they made to adapt it into a movie really enhanced the story and stuck more to the theme of seeking the ultimate revenge at any cost.
