Actually, you are odd. Before posting about a movie, it's kind of necessary to actually watch the whole friggin movie. You keep referring to the husband as the vigilante, but the father was one of the victims. Because you only watched half of it, you obviously didn't realize that it was his adult son who was the vigilante. Go watch the rest of the movie..............

As other posters pointed out you should see the whole movie before commenting on it.

Other than that, your thread is actually a good one because it pointed out that the redneck sons were sociopaths as was the father who raised them.

I understand that this was a B-movie and so it was kind of simplified. In real life the sons would have been coached by their lawyer and kept quiet until after they left the courthouse. Another thing, I found it disturbing that the business man who provided employment for virtually the whole town was the bad guy. But, it was a B-movie and I probably shouldn't have expected much from this movie.
