Actually the Matrix ripped off several genre films. Check out Dark City. BTW, Robot Holocaust came out before The Matrix. But, I suspect you made the post tongue-in-cheek!

A lot of things take ideas from something else. Ideas don't have copyright. So many different ideas put together to make something original I guess?

That new film, the CHANGE-UP or whatever with Ryan Reynolds. Haven't seen it honestly, but isn't it just another FREAKY FRIDAY wannabe?
