Robot Carnival thoughts and questions

Hello fans!

I just recently watched Robot Carnival again after 10 years or so went by, and it's still in my top 10 for my favorite Japanese animation films. I can see why some people may not like it since it seems a little more artsy then more present day anime, but segements like Cloud, Presence and Nightmare and just beautiful.

Has there been any news recently a release on DVD? I haven't been reading a lot of the news so I wasn't sure if it's something that's on any companies radar's or if this is a lost cause. I'm guessing this might not happen since the anime industry in general in the US doesn't seem to pick up older titles anymore.

Also, does anyone know if the dubbed version actually came out on a VHS tape? I still have my recording from the Saturday anime weekends from the Sci-Fi network and am going to hold onto it until I can find a better copy.
