On a par with the likes of Blade Runner and 2001

Robocop is a bona fide sci-fi classic, while those other two mother may be seen as more cerebral and important in the pantheon of sci-fi, I struggle to think of another sci fi film that blended knowing political and social commentary with humour some of it laugh out loud. In addition it has great performances, is endlessly quotable and the casting and performances are spot on. Robocop might just be the best sci-fi flick ever made.

It is a classic, but unlike those other films you've mentioned its satirical streak and dark humour make it quite something different. So, no comparing these.

Robocop is my favourite film of all time.

One of the first movies I remember watching when I was a boy. Still have my Robocop action figure from when I was around 7 year old. I'm now 26.

It's more than a classic for me.

Robocop is highly underrated... As usual for a Paul Verhoeven movie...
