It was cool that the old man was a nazi hunter

I know that this film is cheesy but I liked the fact that the old man was a nazi hunter. I guess that ment that there was a vampire in the group who was a former Nazi. Kind of a cool thought for better writers.

Plus the old man who was a nazi hunter was Samuel Fuller. That was extremely cool!

Is the name Samuel Fuller significant with WW Two and the Nazis.
I am just asking because I don't know.

Samuel Fuller was WWII veteran and a film writer and director. He wrote and directed The Big Red One starring Lee Marvin. His bio on this site states that Fuller: "Served as a rifleman in the U.S. 1st Infantry Division during World War II. Fuller saw action in North Africa, Sicily, Omaha Beach on D-Day, and then on through Europe to Czechoslovakia. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart. He later used many of his war experiences in The Big Red One (1980)."

Hey Thanks for this.
I just had a great read on this guy.
So the actor who played the savy old man, really was a savy old veteran.
Clasic, no wonder he played the part so well.
Gotta love it.
