new anniversary edition dvd coming soon!!!

on the troma website, it has stated that there are anniversary editions of combat shock, tromeo & juliet and redneck zombies in the works for this year.

I have it on good authority that it is planned for release in October 2008. Apparently the delay has been finding and restoring the original tapes. Supposedly there's at least an hour of bonus materials including deleted scenes, behind the scenes, out-takes, and new interviews with the cast and crew. There's also a rumor that the package will include a soundtrack cd. I hope this is all true. I can't wait!

Goddammit I'll cream my pants if they actually use new prints off the masters (doesn't fit with troma's track record, but one can always hope...)

The soundtrack CD would also be welcome.

I havent seen this , cause I cant find it anywhere .. But now i'm gonna keep my eyes open around Oct. .. thanks Guys !! I'm excited to watch this

If you get tired of waiting, just get it off amazon or the Troma store. Troma DVDs are region free!
This makes British people like me very happy, as we just don't get crap like this released in the UK and damn it, we need it!
(That said, Toxic Avenger 1-3 were released but were edited to crap and had no special features! - Trailers don't count)

Expect the Red Neck Zombies Anniversary DVD to be the first Troma release of '09! Also new artwork in the style of Troma's new release of Cannibal the Musical:

So I don't know how this happened, but I was doing some dvd shopping and found a "used" copy of the 20th Anniversary Edition of Redneck Zombies. It is in brand new condition and I'm listening to the soundtrack cd right now! The crazy thing is, it was priced at $7.95 but everything in the store was 30% off so I paid less than $6 for it. What a magnificent find! And I double checked Amazon, release date isn't until January 27th, 2009.

I have Toxic Avenger 1 on DVD and it's uncut.(Deleted scenes and Lloyd Kaufman Commentary)

The Anniversary edition also has many extras.

I recently purchased the 20th Anniversary Special Edition DVD for a mere five bucks at a local WalMart in Central New Jersey.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

This is actually at WAL-MART (!!!) for only 5 dollars (!!!) Total steal, you can't pass a deal like that up. Picked up 2 copies, one as a gift for a friend.
