Clown Attack!!

I laughed my ass off and I didn't get it, but I think that was the point.

The clown attack scene in the back alley was hilarious; it's one of the funniest moments in the entire film.

"Who're these clowns?"... Classic. This is such an underappreciated movie.

Yeah, when he threw that one clown into the wall face first and you hear his nose "honk"... one of the better moments. John Ritter seemed to have clowns in a few of his movies, no?

This movie is one of my favorites of all time. Regarding the Clown Attack scene - I think the best part is when Bob starts crying. That's the best. :) "Bob, why are you crying? It's eating away at my confidence."

Yeah I loved watching this movie and thought it was great to watch! I remember back when USA Network was really cool and they would show movies like this all of the time! Now they show garbage on that network.

I agree with the OP. In some way that was so far out there that it just became funny, even more so when he almost kills an actual clown later on.

Glad you didn't get it, because you aren't supposed to.

As a matter of fact if you think you "Got" any part of the movie. If any part of it made "sense". Then you didn't "get" the movie at all.

Even the first scene where Jim's character is getting directions from his boss is not supposed to make sense, and if you watch the whole movie then go back and watch that scene again you should end up being more confused by it than you were the first time you watched it. Every time you watch this movie again something new should make sense, but two other things you thought you understood should make even less sense.

That is what makes the movie great.

For instance is Nick's (James Belushi) "dad" really his dad, or a CIA operative, or someone else? I don't know, you don't know, and nobody knows. You may think you know, but because of the nature of the movie and the characters and everything else it is actually impossible to know these things. All you can do is enjoy the ride and remain confused. You could watch this movie 1000 times, analyze every bit of it in detail, and still have no idea what really happened. That is what makes it great.
