Beach 115th Rockaway Park, Queens Filming Location

The house where Mr. Zipsky runs out with a meat cleaver is now a SRO (single room occupancy). Also, the house next to it, the white and red one. If you go look at the red and white house, it does not look the same. The porch is gone. It is all cemented. It looks horrible. I used to live in the back bungalow. The house was owned by a very nice woman who is now passed away.

The house where zipsky comes out was called "The Connelly's" It was a nice place back then. That whole side of street is different. The house where the movie was filmed looks a little like it did in the movie.

It was actually filmed on 113th Street not 115th Street,

Im very sorry, but you are really wrong. I spent my summers in Rockaway and they filmed in a house from a couple of houses where I used to stay on 115th Street.

If you go the microsofts "live search" map site you can actually see the homes that they used on 115th street.

I recommend a book called Woody Allen on Location by deNavacele - it's about the filming of Radio Days primarily the Rockaway Locations; on a visit to New York a few years ago I took the subway to Rockaway (very long trip) to see the locations - much of course has changed and much was altered for the movie(facades) but I certain got a very nostalgic feel for the place
