I saw this years ago and I still think about it. Great movie. Every time I see that scene with the school teacher and innocent Queenie I wish that someone would beat the crap out of the teacher. The same goes for the creepy uncle.

I first saw this on Romance Classics back in 2000 and loved it! I thought it was great then and also now. BTW, this movie is uploaded to youtube!
The scene with that school teacher just made me so mad. He #1 was just beyond repulsive looking and #2 was the perfect example of what a crazed pedo kiddie lover looks like in in my mind. He should have gotten punished for what he did.
Also, with the scene with her Uncle Morgan. You know it was VERY wrong what he did. But I couldn't help but feel sorry for him in a way. He was treated like an even bigger outcast in England than he was in India. He couldn't work or support Queenie. He was a broken man who turned to alcohol (which this is no excuse for his behavior). He already loved Queenie as a niece but I believe that changed to the love type love when he had to see her dancing almost nude in that show in London day in and day out. The alcohol clouded his judgement further. What he did to her was wrong and him feeling that way was wrong because they were related. Him "attacking" her and trying to force her was wrong - WRONG too. But as I said I couldn't help but feel sorry for him in a way.....
