Gorman Bechard's Working Relationship With Charles Band

Mr Bechard If you happen to read this post, the reason for such is basically based upon the many bad reactions certain personnel have had over the years working for Charles Band.

I remember correspondence I had from Tim Kincaid, stating that his working relationship was hassle free, ofcourse that is just one filmmaker's own opinion.

I can also recall Frank Darabont not having any kind words to say about Mr Band.

With regards to yourself, with all those early movies that you made with Charles Band, was he ever present on Set, did you have any personal dealings with the man.

I realise such recollections might stir up some bad memories, but speaking as a fan of your work, it's always good to know just how your movies came to see the light of day.

Many thanks.

Hey James,

Actually I cover Empire a lot in the new director's commentary on the PSYCHOS IN LOVE dvd release.

But to answer your question directly. Band was never on set. Band never even read the script to Assault of the Killer Bimbos (which he *beep* into Cemetery High) until AFTER we wrapped.

He was a shoe salesman, that made Al Bundy look like Einstein.

My dealings were few and far between, and aside from when he was courting me to release (then screw me on royalties to) Psychos...never good.

Hope that sort of answers it,

Gorman

P.S. New movie premieres on June 12th in Seattle...spread the word!
