Filming locations of this movie

I know it's been said many times this movie was Filmed in Oakland California. it was not filmed in Los Angeles or in the East Coast. but i will take it a step furthur i'll give you many of the filming Locations.

1. when Rick is going to the school on his motorcycle. he goes into the Webster st Tunnel that goes into Alameda Ca.

2. the whole Bar seen scene at the beginning of the movie.is the Old Johnne b Good Bar in Alameda Ca on Webster st. the bar is gone but the building is still there and the Jack N the Box is still across the street.

3. the scene were Rick is on his Motorcycle going to Brandale is on San Pablo ave in West Oakland. he also goes down Louise st in West Oakland when the dog barks at him.

4. the scene where Rick attacks Victor and the Drug Dealers with a Baseball bat was in East Oakland on 2 different alleys. the alley were the drug dealers and Victor are doing the drug Deal is called Gleason Way at the corner of 14th ave. and the alley were Victor chases Rick is called Marin Way. there like 1 block apart thrust me i know the area real well the alley still looks the same.

5. When Rick is going to visit Emil in the Hospital he's driving down Lakeshore ave you can see Lake Merritt in that scene. Lake Merritt is a Lake that every Oaklander knows well.

6. The scene were Rick visits his Ex Wife and she says I heard your a Principal now at Brandale and Burns rubber leaving Rick hanging. is on Piedmont ave on the corner of Ramona ave in North Oakland. near the Mountain View Cemetery. you can clearly see the Chapel Of Chimes.

7. Last but not least the School Brandale It self. is in North Oakland on the corner of Martin Luther King Jr way and 58th st. it was formally Merritt College in the 60s and 70s. the building is still there it's all nice and fixed up now and it has a sign that says north oakland senior center. My Brother was an extra on this movie as i said in a previous thread and my Uncle was part of the clean up crew. my brother took me here after it was filmed and the school was all messed up abandoned with graffiti all over it. looks really nice now.
