Ultimate Hunter Edition Blu Ray

Fans of Predator, what are your thoughts on the 2010 Blu? Did you hate the overly scrubbed DNR transfer or did you actually like it? I'm kinda mixed about it!

I appreciated the coloring, but at the expense of image detail and the intended look of the film it was nothing more than a curiosity. Glad this did not set a trend for older films reissued on HD formats.

The opening is the worst, Dillon looked like a mannequin lol! After that it's not that bad but it doesn't have that 80's look anymore, now it looks more like a modern film from 2010. This movie needs a 4K remaster and a good balance of HD and grain detail that will satisfy both sides. The 2008 Blu Ray everyone thought it was too grainy, 2010 everyone thought it looked like Pixar lol! It needs a combination of the two for a great new transfer without any annoying teal/orange color correction as well. I'll give the 2010 version that credit.......it kept the original color.

Didn't bother me in the slightest. I read all about the Blu-Ray when it was released and I still have my copy to this day and watch whenever I'm in the mood. I liked to glossy look it had, it still maintained the original integrity of the movie and updated it a little.

I like it but it could be better too. The most impressive thing is the sound, this movie is LOUD!! The transfer is no where near as waxy as people make it out to be but a lot of Blu Rays do look waxy, it's just the HD. People are still not used to it yet I guess.
