If the Predator will kill armed people, then why didn't...? SPOILER

I dont think they knew that until it was too late.

Billy tosses his SP1/Mossberg into the river and the Predator relinquishes Dutch's weapon for him, but it doesn't seem to matter to the Predator at that point. They've already been marked.

Ditching weapons at that point would just be a further challenge to the Pred.
The Dutch version of, "Cum an' 'ave a go if ya fink yer 'ard enuff", basically.

So far, Pred hadn't actively targeted Anna, so she was safer off not getting involved by picking up a weapon like it was a thrown gauntlet.

Because they are all professional killers and wanted to settle the score with Predator already having killed so many off their men. Plus, as Dutch says to Dillon, "...we make a stand now, or there will be no one left to get to the chopper!"

Because it wouldn't save them. You can't toss your gun aside and say Ha, I'm not armed so you can't kill me. They had access to a weapon, which made them fit prey, and if they deliberately disarm themselves through choice they just die faster.

once you've been marked by the Pred, dropping your weapon isn't going to help.

I assume you are referring to the fact that it spared that woman in that one scene?

It didnt spare her because of some hard rule that it can't kill anyone thats unarmed. It spared her because she was a boring target that would have put up zero resistance. The Predator isnt a slasher villain that kills for fun, its a hunter that kills because thats part of the thrill of the hunt.

The Predator has been watching the guys and knows that they are a threat. If they just laid down their weapons out of fear, the Predator would see that as a victory in dominating them and would kill them as trophies.
