The scene in the burnt out car directly following the motel and right before the cop ( Michael McKean ) they pass another car on the road. The female passenger in the car looks a lot like Susan Sarandon. She is only on screen for a couple seconds but I think it is her.

Victoria Vanderkloot was the woman in the car yelling at them when they are going the wrong way down the interstate.

shareI was watching the movie when I saw this thread so I rewound to see if it was her. My TV has q zoom feature so I zoomed in on the woman. While she looks very similar, it is not her. I took a picture but don't think I can attach it here unfortunately.
