I'm wearing the same underwear since Tuesday line

So Thanksgiving is always on Thursday and that line makes it sound like they've either only been on the road for one day or a week and a day doesn't it? I mean what day was it when he left New York? How long did it take him to get home? I always thought "well that's only been one day" because it felt like it was Wednesday so whats the big deal about wearing your underwear for one day? Lol

It was only one day. He was pretty prim and proper though until he lightened up after hanging out with Del.

The establishing shot at the beginning of the movie shows text on the screen reading "NEW YORK CITY - TWO DAYS BEFORE THANKSGIVING", so Tuesday it would be.

I always felt that way, also. The first time I saw it I was like, "dude...it's been one day...it's not that bad." Del even looks at him quickly as if thinking the same thing. But this is Neal Page. For all we know, he showers and changes his underwear three times a day, so this could be torture for him! It is interesting, though, that he says "Tuesday" instead of "yesterday."

Love your screen name, I grew up on Battle of the Planets.

Thanks! It's still my all-time favorite show. G-Force forever!

reply

Yeah, I think it just highlights how highly strung Neal is.
