A boring and typicall american adaption!

This adaption of Astrid Lindgrens classic story is boring and never even gets the real story. The main "actress" is not even able to act, but ok, she can sing.

No one else than Inger Nilson is the real Pipi ... skol!

Carpe diem? ... CARPE JUGULUM!

I agree wholeheartly. I have watched the very first minutes of this movie, and it literally caused me physical pain. The original series with Inger Nilsson is so much more honest, fun to watch and has heart. This movie is the typical marketing crap driven amerification of European literature.

Although it is better than most children movies today, It still didn't compare to the Swedish films. Inger is wonderful as Pippi, and the old movies give me a feeling of fun that this one failed to bring. I still like it okay, though.

Darkness follows as the siren sings...

I saw this movie in the theater when I was 6. It was so terrible, that I left crying. I was inconsolable for the rest of the afternoon. I was such a huge fan of the original Swedish films and was excited about an American remake...until I saw it.

Inger will always be Pippi.

reply

Maybe it's just on account of I have no exposure to the other films, but I've seen part of this version and I like it, I like this Pippi.
