She doesn't run FROM freedom, she runs TOWARDS freedom, that's how I have always interpretted the line "freedom calls, and Pippi runs" I am positive it doesn't mean she runs away from freedom! how would you come to that conclusion! where on earth in this movie does Pippi run away from freedom? She's a rebel, a non-conformist, she's all for freedom, and I agree to the other comment, almost anarchy! This was my favourite childhood movie, don't wreck it on me now!
