A fetishist's dream

this film ... all the binding and gagging and use of pins in the eyes and knives in the deaths.

A taut thread ties her to me from which hangs the question 'can I trust you?'

The film has to be reduced to that to qualify as such.

Alchemically speaking, the needles "planted" over the eyes are similar to a field of poppies showing up in a dream, blocking access to "heaven," like in the Wizard of Oz. The bottle of perfume handed to Betty as a gift is a kind of transfusion, if you think of an energy body as bath Water of a sort.

In actuality anyone can make of this and any film what they like and at whatever level. I don't consider my view lesser and, ergo, yours superior.

Is that why I like it so much? Hmmm...
