captivating

I was completely intrigued with this film and by the mid sections of the trial i couldn't pull my eyes off the screen. Claudia is AMAZING. It was so hard to watch her up against the rest of the court because i really found myself able to relate to that type of frustration with getting people to understand. It was just so powerful to watch it on screen

Meh. Babs overacted and chewed the scenery. The script could have been polished up a bit more than it was; some lines could have been removed.

... after only reading 3 of your posts, I can tell you're a dumbass ...

Far from being captivating i consider one of her worse performances. ! in its excessive and out of control acting. it was actually quite unbeleivable too..i do think babs is a good actress but a tighter director might have got a better performance she definatley chewed the scenery

I think the movie could have benefited fom tighter editing; at 2 hours it was a bit of a grind though the last half an hour is the best part of the film. The twist so to speak (when it finally arrives), is well acted by all participants and still resonates as powerfully today(probably more so) as it did 26 years ago.

Like many of the other posters I'm not a great Babs fan and wasn't entirely convinced with her performance. But I did like Richard Dreyfus and thought James Whitmore as Judge Stanley, almost stole the show.

I wasn't enthralled or captivated, but the film does have some interest.
