okay weird semi-related question

When i was little (probably around '89-'92) i remember the Disney channel playing this movie and its sequels. BUT at that same time they played this other movie...
...it was about these kids who sneak into their parents laboratory and accidentally use this machine and wind up back in time, like dinosaur age...have an adventure, a battle at the end, wind up getting home, etc.
I've been trying to figure out what it was called for ages. The fact i remember so much of it and don't know the title bugs me. If anyone can help, greatly appreciate.

also, i remember this weird part where they watch a video with dinosaurs and they all do this uh...dance.....thing where they go "boom shakalakalaka boom shakalakalaka"...if that helps.
