Not quie human kinda reminds me of Small Wonder. Did they borrow some elements from the show? Like the plug outlet.

"Not Quite Human" was based on a series of novels by Seth McEvoy. The first book, "Batteries Not Included," was published in 1985 -- the same year that "Small Wonder" debuted. If I remember correctly (it's been over 20 years since I read the books), I'm pretty sure the plug thing was in the first novel, so there's little chance that "Small Wonder" ripped it off from "Not Quite Human" or vice-versa.
