5.7 what the hell?

It's no masterpiece but come on, it's a good film, especially for the time.

I agree. Should be around 6.5-7.0, objectively. Subjectively, I'd rate it a bit higher.

It's a pretty realistic movie with an OK story, likeable characters, beautiful cars, OK chase scenes and a neat ending. Nothing groundbreaking, but at least average (or better) in every department, no real flaws anywhere. Most movies from this era suffers from some really cheesy scenes, this one never drops the ball, it's consistent and believeable. It shouldn't be rated so low.

Absolutely !

I would give it a 9/10 objectively. Subjectively, i'd rate it 10/10.

Greatest 80's actors (including Charlie Sheen), AWESOME soundtrack by Basil Poledouris, very cool and atmospheric vibe, good storyline en fine acting. And I love Porsches !

It gave me a very similar vibe to "To Live and Die in LA", I really enjoyed it.

It wasn't no masterpiece! It was Charlie Sheen's follow up to Platoon. And that bland actor from Gardens of Stone was still trying to make a name for himself with the key role in this movie, but as of 2015, even with The Cutting Edge, he never became a household name with the young crowd!
