Sal got a raw deal

He saves Judy's life (who obviously still likes him) and then dies instantly. So who do they have survive? The mostly selfish and cowardly guy.

Didn't make much sense to me.

Yeah he had more chemistry with her then her current boyfriend did.

Judy's boyfriend is a REAL douche. He practically screwed that slutty hoe Suzanne behind her back (without her acknowledge of it, of course) just because Judy can't give him a little something something. Sal has a certain charm in him that's very sweet.

Agreed. I really wish Sal had survived instead of Roger. Roger was a whiny ass throughout the film.

I suppose they wanted to do something different though with the token black guy actually making it to the end 

They should have made his character more likeable though.

He was only a surface douche; acted that way in public to project an image, but deep down he was a good guy.

reply

Yes, Sal only acted tough and mean-spirited to project an image. He acted like a douche towards Judy's younger brother and crashed the party in order to get close to her, but he was a good guy and was the only one who really cared for her. He died from the fall when he struggled with Angela in trying to save Judy, but even before that he had already saved her many times by drawing the demons' attention to himself when she was in danger. By contrast, the black dude was cowardly and selfish. In one scene, Sal and Rodger heard Judy screaming for someone to open the door from the outside to free her, and Rodger tried to persuade Sal not to, for fear that she too might have turned into "one of them (demons}"

Also, Sal rejected the advances of both Angela and Suzanne, saying that he was not into weird stuff. By contrast, Judy's boyfriend Jay readily turned to Suzanne for sex just after Judy turned him down.

It's a HORROR film. Not only bad people die. Sal died a hero's death. It's just a movie. Get over it.

Lmao

I wouldnt call the "cowardly guy" a.k.a the black guy soft or scary, He was smart and that's why he survived...homeboy was gone as soon as he seen a demon, he didnt sit around and wait to die like most stupid 80's teens did in a horror movie.

LOL @ Roger being cowardly. He stayed behind to catch her when she fell off the roof and even came back for her after he escaped over the wall. Not wanting to fight demons is not the same as being cowardly.

I'm re-watching this movie now Sal was super cool , I thought he would survive but there had to be a death the audience would really care about

As for Roger ,, He was afraid because there was "DEMONS" not other people in costumes "DEMONS" I would help anyone calling me in real life to get another human off of them but as soon as I see a "DEMON" my legs would move like cartoon legs run right out from under me . If the demon apocalypse does happen many many many people will straight sh*t themselves , leave a trail of piss in their wake , break out into hives or become petrafied wood . Can not call anyone cowardly in that situation ,, will be the first to tell you I'm afraid of "DEMONS" I Will run and good luck to you.

Who are the Teddy Bears? Should I know about them ?
