Was Halloween Party the working title for this?

I dunno, it seems that IMDb said that it's also known as Halloween Party (though there wasn't any VHS/DVD covers that had that title or that title didn't came up anywhere when I searched it up) and apparently it's production title was called Halloween Partners Limited.

So I'm wondering, could the title Halloween Party be a working title they used before they changed it to Night of the Demons? Anyone?

Yes, that was mentioned in the extras of the new Shout! Factory Blu-ray. Originally the director thought of Halloween Party and there were also suggestions of other titles with "Halloween" in them but the producer didn't want them - perhaps there was already a fairly well-known film named Halloween? They gave a number of titles to regular filmgoers and asked them which title they were most likely to be attracted to seeing a horror film, and the most popular choice was Night of the Demons.

Ah, thanks for the information!

I suppose then the Halloween Party title should be updated here to it as a working title instead of just a blank title. By the way, when you said that there were also suggestions of other titles with Halloween with it, what were the other titles called too? was there any information about that?

I could not recall the actual alternative titles mentioned in the interviews. Perhaps they were not there in the extras.

Ah, fair enough.

Hopefully soon I should be getting my blu-ray of Night of the Demons, that way I'm able to work on the wikipedia page for Night of the Demons and simply adding another blu-ray to my growing horror collection. ;)

I have the Bluray edition and it is great!
They cleaned up this what is now a classic horror movie and added many extra's-including a well done commentary with the cast and crew that answers many questions about the film.
It's not much more expensive than the DVD version and fans of the film will be delighted with it!
