this film needs more exposure

bollywood (although this movie is tamil) is filled with the same recycled crap, even when nayakan first came out. In the western world, this movie is unheard of. i saw it and didn't expect to be amazed, mainly because of my other experiences with tamil films. nayakan is a perfect film. the cast, the score and the little details. i was impressed with the detail: the makeup of kamal as he ages, characters that match their youth as they grow, real friendship and real human emotions. all in this film that's unheard of.
sure it's a copy of the godfather, but that's what film is. nayakan drew inspiration from the godfather, but it changed the film industry in india that was repetitive and predictable and often unoriginal in itself.
this film deserves to be in the top 250, and to be watched by more people.
