Which movie like this...

I remember seeing both Gremlins movies, all four Critters flicks, a few of the "Ghoulies" pictures and even Munchies when I was younger, because I was fascinated by little creatures and such.

I'm trying to remember which (if any) had the following details:

-Something about lightning or electricity finally being used to off the creatures. (It's not "Gremlins 2" I'm thinking of, because I have both of those on DVD, and I'm deffinitly thinking of another movie, I'm pretty sure another one used electricity to kill the creatures)

-I think at one point, one of the creatures is cut in half with a knife or blade of some sort, and both halves kinda grow into their own creature, hence, they can't be killed traditionally like that. (I think a character then relayed a lame line of dialogue explaining about what just happened, and even referenced cutting worms in half... ? Like "you cut a worm in half, you have two worms" or something equally as dramatic.)

-I think there was a scene where a father steps on one and thinks he just stepped on some food or candy or something because the creature is flattened and goey afterords.

Any of this ring a bell?
